Day 1, Sat    USA - Beijing
Board our international flight bound for Beijing.  Spend the night aboard the plane.

Day 2, Sun    Arrive Beijing
We arrive Beijing in the evening.  After the long flight relax in five star luxury as we check in to the Sheraton Hotel.

Day 3, Mon    Beijing
Spend the day touring the political center of China.  The famous landmark Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world.  Other sites we visit today include the Forbidden City and the Emperor's Summer Palace.  In the evening a special Peking Duck Banquet is provided for our enjoyment.  (AB, L, DP)

Day 4, Tue    Beijing
The Great Wall of China is one of the seven great man-made wonders of the world.  Spend time walking atop the wall, noting that it spans thousands of miles across Northern China.  In the afternoon we descend to visit the Ming Tomb Museums, burial place of 13 Ming Emperors.  Tonight after a famous Emperor's Banquet we are treated to a Chinese Opera.  (AB, L, DS)

Day 5, Wed    Beijing - Xian
Our final destination in Beijing is the Temple of Heaven.  After lunch we board a flight bound for Xian, the capital of 11 dynasties.  Upon arrival we check in to the hotel to freshen up before dinner.  Tonight enjoy a wonderful Imperial Dumpling Banquet.  (AB, L, DP)

Day 6, Thu    Xian
We spend the morning marveling over Qin Shi Huang's Terra-Cotta Warriors.  Other highlights of today are the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall.  Dinner is served while we watch a fabulous Tang Dynasty Stage Show tonight.   (AB, L, DS)  

Day 7, Fri    Xian - Chongqing - Yangtze River Cruise
After breakfast we board a flight bound for Chongqing.  Upon arrival we spend some time touring the mountain city of Chongqing.  Enjoy local Szechwan fare for dinner, after which we board the Yangtze's preeminent cruise line with Western standards of comfort and style - Victoria Cruises.  (AB, L, D)

Day 8, Sat    Yangtze River Cruise (Fengdu)
Our Yangtze River journey begins when we depart Chongqing after breakfast.  This morning explore Fengdu; disembark for a shore excursion to see why it's called the "City of Ghosts".  In the evening, our shipboard program includes nightly feature films, live entertainment, and local performances of traditional Chinese arts.  (AB, L, D)  

Day 9, Sun    Yangtze River Cruise (Wushan - Zigui)
Pass the Qutang Gorge, the shortest of the famous Three Gorges.  Passengers disembark upon arrival at Wushan to board small motorized sampans that will take us up the Daning River.  Lunch is served at Double Dragon Village, a small riverside town.  Upon returning to the ship we continue pass the Wu gorge and arrive at Zigui.  The Zigui Folk Performance is available dockside to all passengers who wish to attend.  (AB, L, D)

Day 10, Mon    Yangtze River Cruise (Three Gorges Dam)
Our ship sails through the Xiling Gorge, the longest and historically the most dangerous of the Three Gorges.  Proceed to the massive Dam.  Disembark to visit China's largest dam project at Sandouping Village.  (AB, L, D)

Day 11, Tue    Yangtze River Cruise (Wuhan) - Shanghai
Our Yangtze Cruise ends upon our noon time arrival at Wuhan, an important industrial and commercial center of central China.  Visit the Yellow Crane Tower, which presents a panoramic view of the mighty Yangtze.  In the afternoon take a flight to Shanghai, the most heavily populated city in China.   (AB, L, D)

Day 12, Wed    Shanghai
Full day tour of Shanghai visiting the Yu Garden, a classical Ming Dynasty garden with pavilions, towers, terraces and halls everywhere.  Other highlights of our tour are the Nanjing Road and the famous sidewalks of the Bund.  In the evening we are treated to a Chinese Acrobatics Show.  (AB, L, DS)

Day 13, Thu    Shanghai - Suzhou
Depart Shanghai in the morning as we board a bus bound for Suzhou, better known as the Venice of the East.  Upon arrival at Suzhou, we visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and Tiger Hills.  Tonight we relax and enjoy our dinner at the hotel.  (AB, L, DH)

Day 14, Fri    Suzhou - Zhouzhuang - Hangzhou
This morning we continue traveling by bus to Zhouzhuang, a 900-year-old town on the water.  We tour the stone lanes, the interlaced streams and the Grand Canal.  In the afternoon we proceed to Hangzhou, described as the Heaven City on earth.  (AB, L, DH)

Day 15, Sat    Hangzhou
After breakfast we spend the day touring the unique city: Cruise of the West Lake, the Ling Yin Temple, and Fei Lai Feng.  Tonight after freshening up, a special local banquet dinner will be provided.  (AB, L, DP)

Day 16, Sun    Hangzhou - Guilin
Fly to Guilin in the morning.  Upon arrival check in to the hotel.  After lunch, we proceed to the Reed Flute Cave (nicknamed the Art Gallery of Nature) and Elephant Trunk Hill.  Dinner is served at the hotel tonight.  (AB, L, DH)

Day 17, Mon    Guilin
Full day tour of Guilin.  A spectacular cruise down the Li River presents us with the most picturesque scenery in Southern China and passes through lush green valleys.  Enjoy lunch aboard the ship.  In the evening dinner is served while we enjoy a wonderful Minority Folk Dance Show.  (AB, L, DS)

Day 18, Tue    Guilin - Guangzhou - Hong Kong
After breakfast we board a short flight to Guangzhou.  Enjoy a lunch of local Cantonese cuisine.  A brief city tour of Guangzhou takes us to the Chen Family Temple and Yue Xiu Park.  In the evening we board an express train bound for the "Pearl of the Orient", Hong Kong.  (AB, L)

Day 19, Wed    Hong Kong
A half day tour takes us around Hong Kong Island.  Also, enjoy a ride up to Victoria Peak where we are presented with a glorious view of Hong Kong Island and its harbor.  The afternoon is free for shopping and other leisure activities.  (AB)

Day 20, Thu    Hong Kong
Explore Hong Kong at your own pace because the day is free for leisure activities.  Continue with shopping from yesterday, visit friends, or perhaps take an optional tour.  (AB)

Day 21, Fri    Hong Kong - USA
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your homeward bound flight.  Re-cross the International Date Line and arrive USA on the same date.  (AB)
